Center for Multidisciplinary Curriculum & Pedagogy

The ‘hierarchy of subjects’ wherein mathematics and science and its related subjects are considered at the top followed by humanities, art, etc. and further creation of domain silos (read isolation) of streams can be damaging to learning. For learning to be meaningful and enabling, it needs to be contextual, experiential and importantly, build critical and creative capacities of the learner. This can be made possible by adopting an approach that appreciates and strengthens abilities to understand, to experience any topic from diverse perspectives and enables making connection to a range of contexts and time.

This Center designs and facilitates programs that introduce and appreciate multidisciplinary approach in higher education. In line with NEP 2020, the Center introduces programs for institutions and teachers that provide open, creative and critical learning opportunities by inter-connecting streams of art, commerce, humanities and science. Thus enabling teachers and institutions to be able to facilitate learning adopting interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary pedagogy.
