Program Overview

The program is designed with the purpose of building understanding and skills to incorporate technology into teaching-learning practices. The program enables teacher-participant know latest trends, adopt new technologies, explore its possibilities in classroom as also for research endeavours and related ethics.

explore their roles as leaders in adopting new technologies in teaching and learning as well as the varied possibilities of using technology in their research endeavours. Thus, through the programme it is expected that the participants are able to critically evaluate the latest trends in technology that shape the educational landscape and carve for themselves a pathway to enrich the teaching-learning process.

Program Content

The five-day program introduces teacher- participants to various relevant tools, digital media, and various techno-pedagogies. It creates opportunity for hands-on practice of cutting-edge technology relevant for higher education. The sessions topics include teachers and technology, leading through research, outcome-based education and different modes of online engagement in higher education, ICT tools for teaching-learning, developing content for MOOCs, online assessment designs, simulated case studies, artificial intelligence and virtual reality in higher education. Also, it highlights the need for building a community of practice among teacher-participant by harnessing the power of online collaborations.

Dr. Homi Bhabha State University (HBSU) is the first cluster university in the state of Maharashtra. The University comprises four oldest and prestigious Government Colleges of Mumbai viz., Institute of Science, Elphinstone College, Sydenham College and Secondary Training College. The HSBU works towards implementing technology integration programs that address strategic issues in higher education and provide faculty with tools and resources to make informed decisions in their roles as leaders.
