MSFDA’s In-house Capacity building program “Saksham”(सक्षम) in Blended mode

Program Overview

“Saksham (सक्षम)” is MSFDA’s in-house capacity building program in blended mode for faculty members from all disciplines in higher education. The program aims to sensitize HE teachers to ‘Holistic Education’ & ‘role of an educator’, and introduce contemporary student centric teaching-learning methods.

Following are some of the highlights of the program:

• Broaden educational perspectives related to holistic development of students and society
• Dive into the multifaceted role of a teacher as a learning facilitator and mentor
• Understand and practice OBE with suitable active teaching-learning methodology and innovative assessments
• Know about technology integration for effective teaching-learning
• Blended mode experience that enables hands-on practice for introducing new approaches in the classroom

Program Content

This blended program will be conducted in three phases. The first Phase of the program will be three days residential at MSFDA, Pune where the sessions will be focused on developing holistic perspective of participants towards education and role of an educator. Second phase of ‘Capacity building and practicum’ will have online sessions. The sessions will deliberate on aspects of holistic education such as multidisciplinary, student centricity and diversity. Later sessions will focus on foundations of teaching-learning, active learning methodology, effective assessment and technology integration in teaching-learning. Last phase will be two days residential program at MSFDA, Pune.

Program Schedule

1. Phase 1: 3 days, residential at MSFDA, Model Colony, Pune
2. Phase 2: Two synchronous 90-minute online sessions every Saturday for 15 weeks [total 45 hours]
3. Phase 3: 2 days, residential at MSFDA, Pune
